This policy explains what information sitemerce.com collects, why, and what we do with it. "We" means Brandmerce LLC, 425 Town Plaza Ave, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32081.
What we collect
When you request a free check. The form asks for two things: your website address and your email address. We use them only to run the free automated check you asked for and to email you the result. When we reply, we may tell you how Sitemerce could help with what the check found. We don't add you to a mailing list.
When you email or call us. We receive what you send us, and we use it to reply.
When you visit the site.
- Our hosting provider records technical information when you load a page: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is standard server logging, kept for security and to keep the site running.
- Once enabled, Google Analytics also records how visitors use the site: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. It uses cookies to do this.
We don't collect payment information on this site, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
How your free-check request is handled
The site doesn't store your request:
- When you enter your website address, the site sends it (and nothing else about you) to **Google PageSpeed Insights**, which checks the public homepage and returns the figures shown on screen. The result for that address is kept for up to a day so a repeat check is quick.
- When you send the form, the site passes your website address and email to Resend, the service we use to deliver email.
- Resend delivers one email to our team, and we reply from our own mailbox. Resend keeps delivery records (such as the sender, recipient and time) for a limited time under its own terms.
- The request stays in our mailbox as an ordinary business email. Ask us and we'll delete it.
Who else processes information
We use these service providers, each under its own privacy terms:
- Vercel hosts the site.
- Google PageSpeed Insights checks the public website address you enter (the quick check on screen).
- Resend delivers the free-check request to us and keeps delivery records for a limited time.
- Google Analytics measures site use, when enabled.
- Sanity holds the site's content and receives no information about visitors.
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for others' advertising.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies of its own for advertising. Google Analytics uses cookies to tell visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out browser add-on, and the site still works. Your browser may also store your accessibility settings (such as high contrast) on your device. That stays on your device and isn't sent to us.
How long we keep information
We keep free-check emails and other correspondence for as long as needed to answer you and keep ordinary business records, then delete them. Server logs and analytics data are kept for the periods set by Vercel and Google.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email hello@brandmerce.com or call (904) 257-0029. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under your state's law; we'll honour requests we're required to.
Security
We use reputable providers and limit access to the information we receive. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
